For prospective candidates, candidates and clients, we will only collect, store, use, process, transfer and disclose personal data in so far as it is necessary for our legitimate interests in that we need the information in order to assess suitability for potential roles, to find potential candidates and to contact clients.

Job Alerts
To subscribe to job alerts emails, you will be required to provide your e-mail address, which will be used for the purpose of keeping you informed, by e-mail, of the latest jobs in your nominated industry and/or will provide you with industry news. Should you decide that you no longer wish to receive this information, unsubscribe links are provided in every job alert email that you receive.
Curriculum vitae ("CV")
We give you the option of submitting your CV via our website or by providing your CV to one of our consultants. You can do this either to apply for a specific advertised job or for consideration by our recruitment consultants for positions as they come up. Your CV will be stored in the Hup Consulting database and will be accessible by Hup Consulting recruitment consultants.
The submission of your CV will only be undertaken with your prior consent. CVs are typically sent via email or through a client’s online application system; the requirements of GDPR being reinforced through agreed and compliant Terms of Business.
You can update your CV at any time, simply by following the same procedure to submit a new CV. Your old CV will be archived providing the submission details remain the same (for example you submit both CVs using the same email address or you advise the relevant contact of your new submission).
Aggregate Information about Hup Consulting online visitors
We gather information and statistics collectively about all visitors to our website, for example, which area users access most frequently and which services users access the most. We only use such data in the aggregate form. This information helps us determine what is most beneficial for our users and how we can continually improve our online services to create a better overall experience for our users. We may also undertake marketing profiling to help us identify services or jobs which may be of interest to you.
How long do we keep your personal data?
We keep your personal data in accordance with the following data retention period:
Candidate personal data – 3 years since the last contact with you, where contact means addition of your personal data to our database, placement into a role or there is a record of verbal or written communication with you.
We will endeavour to permanently erase your personal data once it reaches the end of its retention period or where we receive a valid request from you to do so. However, some of your data may still exist within our systems. For our purposes, this data will be put beyond use, meaning that while it still exists on a system, it cannot be readily accessed by operational systems, processes or staff.
Where is your personal data stored?
The security of data has, and always will be, taken extremely seriously. Our infrastructure is hosted by Amazon Web Services (AWS), which provides industry-leading security and has a long list of internationally recognized certifications and accreditations
All data is backed up at regular intervals and stored in two alternative locations within the EU at all times, as per AWS recommended guidelines. Security and performance tests are carried out at regular intervals to ensure the smooth running of the service.
Unfortunately, the transmission of information via the internet is not completely secure we cannot guarantee the security of your data transmitted to our site; any transmission is at your own risk. Once we have received your information, we will use strict procedures and security features to try to prevent unauthorised access, misuse or loss.
Your Rights
You have the right at any time to ask us for a copy of the information supplied by you that we hold. We may ask you to verify your identity and for more information about your request.
