Job Title:  Snr / Principal Consultant - Ports & Maritime
Location:  Italy

We are recruiting for a Senior or Principal Consultant to work closely with our international transaction team and play a pivotal role in supporting the development of our global Port & Maritime offer. The selected candidate will work on a variety of projects in the freight (container, bulk) and passenger (ferry, cruise) maritime sectors providing strategic advisory to Clients in Italy, Europe, Americas and Asia.

Qualifications required

• Master’s degree in Economics, Management or Engineering or equivalent;
• 3-5 years of experience working closely with public and private organizations in the maritime and port sector.
• Located in Italy
• Fluency in both Italian and English

Requirements

What we'd like from you:

• Experience in the Ports & Maritimes sector is a must;
• Knowledge of the strategic aspects, market dynamics and key drivers, in particular in the freight sector;
• Ability to take a Project Manager role and deliver successful projects (time, cost, quality);
• Good analytical capabilities and Excel spreadsheets knowledge;
• Ability to create reports in a logical and well-structured way;
• Good communication skills, including the ability to explain clearly and with confidence analyses’ findings to non-technical audiences;
• Excellent interpersonal skills, time-management and ability to work as part of a team;
• Entrepreneurial spirit to support work winning;
• Availability to attend Client’s meetings in Italy and abroad as required by projects;
• Fluency in both Italian and English is a must (writing and speaking). Additional language capabilities would be an advantage.

Desirable additional attributes

• Availability to attend Client’s meetings in Italy and abroad as required by projects;
• Knowledge of port operational aspects;
• Previous experience in Due Diligence mandates, in particular in the Commercial, Technical and ESG areas;
• Experience of successfully managing stakeholder groups;
• Track record in winning work and Client engagement.
